Things clients say after a Craniosacral session:

“I’ve had that headache for three weeks. I’m so glad it’s gone.”

“The last time I came to you, I was dealing with vertigo.. we did a little bit of Craniosacral and now it’s gone!”

”I only sleep well the night after a Craniosacral session.”

”I can’t remember the last time I got that relaxed.”

”Sorry I slept the entire time!”

What is Craniosacral? Craniosacral in Rogers. Craniosacral in Downtown Rogers.

Let me explain:

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics.

CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners I release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.

”Cranio” - refers to the Cranium, which houses our amazing thought machine that we are so thankful for. The Cranium is made up of several bones that are connected via suture joints. These joints have extremely limited mobility. Many schools of thought and modalities taught in body work operate with the belief that while they have such minute capability of movement, they play a huge role in some of the work we can do and even our overall health.

”Sacral” - refers to the sacrum, which is the term used to describe your fused Sacral vertebrae that sit down into your hips. This structure includes what many of us know as “the tail bone”, which is at the very tip of the sacrum.

What should I expect in a CST session?

In a CST session, you will lay on your back, fully clothed. As I work very slowly, I will listen to and work with your body on a much deeper level than massage is typically able. This modality gives your body the opportunity for a more powerful and effective release as well as a chance to really get you into the Parasympathetic Nervous System function if you’ve been operating out of the Sympathetic.

Many people get so relaxed that they fall asleep. Some feel energized after a session while some people say they are more relaxed than they ever remember being.
